Check out these shots from 2011's Find the Sun Mix Session...
![]() We're back. I know it's been a while (bit of an understatement really) but there's been much that's had to simmer and sift and marry and macerate, and at last here we find ourselves, back, saddled up, with a season of new material, new releases, and hopefully new faces and connections made through this creative practice. My main focus as of late has been a new set of singles that we'll be releasing one at a time between now and December, with a follow up set to be released beginning early next year. This collection has been both a joy and a challenge to work on. Collaborating with Crit Harmon has been an exhilarating experience, and once again I've been blessed by the company of a talented and wise cadre of musicians, technicians, and artists, all from whom I feel I've learned so much. Further reflections will come soon. For now, thanks to all who have stuck around during this unexpected sabbatical, for both your patience and your continued support. I'm thrilled to be back. Let's keep the creativity alive in these uncertain times. Travel safe and talk soon. -AF Just wanted to do a quick post after last Friday’s great tracking session for the new single! Things have been brewing for a while with this project, but I haven’t felt the internal go-ahead to talk about it until now. Somehow after having gone into an actual studio and recorded actual music, things at last feel real enough to share... ![]() The illustrious Crit Harmon is taking point as producer for this project, and so far the roster of musicianship includes Jeff Berlin (no link available, sadly) on drums and Jeremy Curtis on bass, both of whom have immense chops, not to mention that there seems to exist some sort of psychic musical link between the two of them, meaning that together, they’ve created a groove on these tracks that is through the proverbial roof. Very exciting indeed… I’ll be sure to keep up with the updates on who else will be featured on the record. Round this out with an incredibly talented and dedicated team of engineers at Q Division Studios, Cambridge, MA,–thanks Jon, Sean, and Mike–and I think something wicked will definitely be coming this way by December, which, by the way, is when we’re hoping to have it released. Watch this space and spread the word! I’ll post pictures too, as soon as they’re “developed” Travel safe and talk soon. -AF update: FLICKR LINK~ http://flic.kr/s/aHsjweLf41 |
